Fire in the hole!

Harvard Square was closed and four buildings evacuated early Friday when several manholes exploded and burned in Cambridge.
Crews were called to the scene near Massachusetts Avenue and Dunster Street about 2:30 a.m. after some kind of cable malfunction sparked the explosions and electrical fires.
Flames were roaring out of four manholes and the immediate area was closed as part of a safety precaution as thick black carbon-monoxide-filled smoke billowed high into the air above the square.
Video here. Be sure to take a look at the raw video footage too.
