Talk of a white Christmas – snowfall on Thursday gave Spokane, Washington, a record for the month of December. As of 4 p.m. Laurie Nisbet of the National Weather Service says Spokane had received 46.2 inches this [in December] . The old record of 42.7 inches was set in 1996.
The latest dump was more than 8 inches from a snowstorm that began last night. More snow is in the forecast for Spokane into Monday with heavy accumulations possible Sunday night.
