Fight Against Maturity

Who spiked the prune juice?

For the first time in his 13-year law enforcement career, [Michigan] State Trooper Rocco Daversa responded Sunday to an “out of control” birthday party at American House, a senior living home in Westland.

A resident at the home, whom police identified as Geraldine, called this morning, worried a celebration thrown for her 92nd birthday might get out of hand.

“She wanted us to be on guard,” Daversa said.

But the home was calm — the party isn’t until next week, and the resident was just a bit confused when she made the call, Daversa said. He was happy to make the trip from the State Police Metro South Post, and was ready with a birthday card on behalf of the State Police.

  1. That was nice of the police! Around here they would probably give you a ticket or shoot you.

  2. I thought the same thing…that it spoke well for that office of the Michigan state police.
