Dude, you’re doing it wrong.

A man who went through three tellers before robbing a bank was caught within ten minutes Friday when deputies spotted him in the taxi he hired as a getaway car, the sheriff’s office said.

…Detectives say Ritchie called a cab to take him to the Wachovia branch at 1483 Main Street. He asked the cabbie to wait while he went inside to cash a check.

Ritchie gave a teller a demand note, but she told him she was assigned to the drive-thru window and had no access to cash. He went to a second teller, who told him her window was closed. He gave his note to a third teller. While she was complying, other employees were calling 911, deputies said.

Ritchie left the bank and fled in the cab. Ten minutes later, deputies spotted and stopped the cab at Keene Road and Beltrees Street, recovering the demand note and the stolen money.

$200 bill?

NC Wanted

North Carolina cops are searching for a guy who successfully passed a $200 bill bearing George W. Bush’s portrait and a drawing of the White House complete with lawn signs reading “We like ice cream” and “USA deserves a tax cut.” The phony Bush bill was presented to a cashier at a Food Lion in Roanoke Rapids on September 6 by an unidentified male who was seeking to pay for $150 in groceries. Remarkably, the cashier accepted the counterfeit note and gave the man $50 change.

The logic to this escapes me…

upside down protest

A man protesting against rising living costs has suspended himself upside down in central London. Security worker Herbert Crossman, from Harrow, north-west London, hung from a crane for two hours in Trafalgar Square. He was attached by the ankles to the crane with a bungee rope, reports the BBC.

Money fell from his pockets into buckets below. He said the money signified how British people are “haemorrhaging money”.
