Legendary carp

Britain’s biggest freshwater fish has left the angling world in mourning after being found dead floating on the lake where it had become a legend.

The monster carp — nicknamed Two Tone due to its colouring — was believed to have weighed more than 70lb when it died.

The famous fish was the Holy Grail for UK anglers with many men devoting up to 60 hours a week hunting it and it is said to have even broken up marriages.

Two Tone, who was believed to have been at least 45 and died of old age, was only caught once or twice a year and no more than 50 times in its lifetime.

For some strange reason the cops aren’t buying this speeding excuse

It could be one of the most bizarre reasons ever offered by a speeding driver: a ghost made me do it! But that is exactly the story being put forward by superstitious motorists hitting speeds of up to 112 mph on a road north of Newcastle, New South Wales in an effort to conjure up a ghost, The Sydney Daily Telegraph reported Tuesday.
