You think that’s a wood pile but you’re wrong. It’s a “Work of Art.”

A Canadian logger was puzzled to be told that the woodpile he was dismantling was a work of art.

Ron Fahey, 59, of Sackville, New Brunswick, had been given permission to remove a stack of logs from the grounds of Mount Alison University. So he was surprised when a local official ran over to tell him the woodpile was actually a sculpture, entitled Deadwood Sleep.

The robots are coming! The robots are coming!

Denver police swung into action Wednesday afternoon closing off a 100 yard safety zone as the city faced a harrowing robot threat that shut down part of the city for more than two hours.

It all began when a citizen reported a possible deadly robot glued to a pillar on a footbridge. The eight inch tall, white plasticĀ  terror of Denver (maybe an advance scout for a robot invasion ?) was “rendered safe” by a bomb-squad robot and examination showed that there was no public danger.

But seriously, folks, if this little guy had been packed with one of the newer, more powerful explosives, it could have done considerable damage and the police action was justified.
