A team of Russian and American scientists will set off on an expedition this week to try to solve the mystery of the Abominable Snowman.
It follows a rise in Yeti sightings in the Kemerovo region, 3,000 miles (4828km) east of Moscow.

If nothing else, the news is bound to make big strides with the Banff tourism industry. No longer will Alberta’s best-known mountain park depend solely on breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife to impress visitors and lure overseas tourists. And no more envy towards other famous vacation spots like Loch Ness and Lake Okanagan, where legendary creatures are rumoured to lurk.
Banff now has Bigfoot. Lots and lots of Bigfoots, in fact.
Bigfoot spotters in New Jersey are reporting their own version of Sasquatch in ever-increasing numbers. Called “Big Red Eye” by locals, the sightings started in the 1970s and have been getting a little more attention lately, possibly due to the popularity of television shows heating up the subject.
But New Jersey is no stranger to mysterious creatures stalking the extensive, and still somewhat remote, forests of the state. Their NHL team gets their name from the most pervasive legend, the New Jersey Devil. So this new Bigfoot legend is a relative newcomer.
The TV show Finding Bigfoot has a lot of critics debunking the evidence that the legendary cryptid really exists. That now includes the people who appear on the show itself.
Cast members from the TV show have commented in various online forums that they are bugged by the heavy-handed editing done by producers of the series, and are not happy that they seem to be putting false words in their mouths. To say nothing of using tricks to make their actual findings more seemingly groundbreaking…
Cast member and BFRO leader Matt Moneymaker says, in response to a question about one particular scene with typically grainy footage, “… the thing I ran after up the hill was a human — someone who was sneaking around us in the woods trying to watch the production in progress. I said so repeatedly and vehemently at the time, for the cameras, but they edited out all of that in order to make it seem unclear what I was chasing after.”

A team of anthropologists found a mysterious burial in the jungle near the city of Kigali Rwanda (Central Africa). The remains belong to gigantic creatures that bear little resemblance to humans. Head of research group believes that they could be visitors from another planet who died as a result of a catastrophe.
According to the scientists, they were buried at least 500 years ago. At first, researchers thought that they came across the remains of ancient settlements, but no signs of human life have been found nearby.

According to a report in the UK’s Daily Mail, Russia’s Kemerovo State University is planning to set up a research institute to study the recent increase in yeti sightings in Siberia. Fifteen witnesses claim to have spotted the elusive hominid in the last year alone.
He was 10 feet tall, with a long beard and yellowish-blond hair, Tim Peeler says.
And in the early-morning hours of June 5, Peeler told authorities, the creature – a Cleveland County version of Bigfoot – wandered onto Peeler’s property in the rural northwest part of the county.
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office has filed the case as a “suspicious person report” but says it is keeping an open mind.
Scientists yesterday announced the discovery of the oldest fossil skeleton of a human ancestor in Ethiopia’s harsh Afar desert.
The find reveals that our forebears underwent a previously unknown stage of evolution more than a million years before Lucy, the iconic early human ancestor specimen that walked the Earth 3.2 million years ago.
The skeleton belonged to a small-brained, 110-pound female nicknamed ‘Ardi.’
The fossil puts to rest the notion that a chimpanzee-like missing link would eventually be found at the root of the human family tree.

Another video of an apparent apeman has emerged from Poland – and this time the bizarre creature seems to be stalking a young girl in a bikini.
The footage was taken in the Tatra mountains, just like another recent video of a supposed Bigfoot. In the latest images, the apeman seems to be observing the girl before running away after he is discovered.
Justyna Folger was splashing about in a river as a friend filmed it when they spotted the creature in the undergrowth, according to the Polish Super Express newspaper.
The video shows how Justyna balanced first on stones and then stood in the water. Suddenly her friend cries out and zooms in on the trees on the far river bank. There in the dark is a black human-like creature!
