Never mistake knowledge or age for wisdom. Both are necessary, but neither is sufficient  for, wisdom.

Thought for the day from Annette John-Hall

When you get to a certain age, a look into the mirror is less about vanity and more about quality control. A daily exercise to make sure nothing’s smeared, hanging, or on backward.

Give me all your money and you will be well…poor but well

… a psychic from Lafayette, Colorado, was arrested for fraud after telling clients their “money [was] evil” and that she’d take their cursed cash so “the money would suffer” instead. (She) made at least $290,000 using this scam.

World’s end in 2012? Not according to this Mayan Elder

Screen shot 2009-10-12 at 9.36.19 AM

A Mayan elder says he is sick of people asking him whether the world will end on December 21, 2012.  Apolinario Chile Pixtun says the date will not bring the end of the world – despite claims the Mayan calendar shows that time will “run out”.

“I came back from England last year and, man, they had me fed up with this stuff,” he told the Daily Telegraph.

Mr Pixtun, a Guatemalan, says the doomsday theories spring from Western, not Mayan ideas.
