That Jacuzzi leak? Found it!

The elephant – nicknamed ‘Troublesome’ – is well known to rangers at the reserve for her inquisitive nature.

But no-one realised she was behind the ‘leak’ at the Jacuzzi-style hot tub outside one of the £400-a-night lodges.

Dieting elephants lose 11,314 pounds

They could be the next stars of “The Biggest Loser.” Seven elephants at the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park have lost a combined total of 11,314 pounds ever since zookeepers enforced a nutrition and exercise regiment for them in 2000.

The rotund captive elephants that zoo visitors are familiar with are mostly overweight compared to those in the wild.

To get the elephants back in shape, zookeepers introduced a diet high in hay and stopped feeding them treats such as bread, corn and jelly beans.

Elephant march: Through a hotel lobby

Mail Online

This amazing picture shows why you shouldn’t get between an African elephant and its favourite food.

Mfuwe Lodge in Zambia happens to have been built next to a mango tree that one family of pachyderms have always visited when the fruit ripens. When they returned one year and found the luxury accommodation in the way, they simply walked through reception.

The animals came in two-by-two: Hotel staff and visitors have got used to the elephants’ impromptu strolls through reception

Now the family group, headed by matriarch Wonky Tusk, return every November to gorge on mangos – up to four times a day..
